How did you know what I was feeling?
I let my emotions take hold, and now I fall.
I miss you so much it's scary
It feels like a stake in my heart
Now all I can think is, "When will he call?"
But I was silly to think I mattered
Or that you were missing me
Because your thoughts belonged to another
And my heart was open to you, naive.
When you did call it made me smile
And happy that you wanted to see me
But I won't let you know anymore
I will do better to hide my emotions
That is until you leave.

| Loved this poem. I hide a lot of my emotions as well. Sometimes it's for the better, but sometimes its better to let it out. |
