We spent one night together
And it was the best time in forever
It was something straight from a dream
Or that's at least how it seemed
We talked, we laughed, we smiled
And you sent my heart running wild
We both went our ways home,
after the night came to a close
The next day we talked you and I
And you said you had fun last night
And that you didn't want it to end
But that we should just be close friends
Then I replied back to you,
"that's how I feel too."
But here's the truth of the matter,
when you said those words I felt sadder
Just know I'll be waiting until the day I die
If you ever, at any point in time,
decide to change your mind
