my love took you by suprise
i wish we coulda stayed up talking till sunrise
im dyin over those gorgeous blue eyez
But all you said to me was....we'll never be
i tried to tell you that i would always be there, but you wouldnt see
i asked for just one date, you wouldnt agree
I said, Hey, It'll be fun...i guarantee
but...not one chance you gave to me
i was sick of being your emotional outlet
so, i said good-bye and tried desperately to forget
to forget.....the day we first met....
a day I now
regret

sometimes things work out just the way they're supposed to - call it fate, cosmic cruelty, whatever. nice write, very tender feelings and so many of us have been there, felt that kind of rejection.

| Time does indeed heal all wounds... but regrets linger , at least for awhile. No need to beat yourself up, if not right each would have to deal with more than regrets. |
