do you remember how we used to be?
to me there was only you,
and to you there was only me,
and now things are different,
and i cant explain,
why it pains me to see us this way.
i used to tell you everything,
now we both tell only lies,
our friendship is in the darkness,
it makes me want to cry,
the love we had is cruel now,
hearts smothered in our lies,
what happened to our friendship?
it turned around and died.
will it ever be like it was?

Oh, I really like this. I love the lines about love being cruel and these two:
i used to tell you everything,
now we both tell only lies,
You have captured that time in a relationship when it has been coming apart and no one wants to admit it. Good stuff.
