Winter comes,
Autumn leaves its trail,
And the land is dressed in a robe of snow,
The warm fire in the heath,
Invites the tired traveller,
Some where in the valley,
An angel has descended,
For I see the aurora light the sky,
And bells form heaven cast a trance,
The crystal flakes thence start to dance,
Amidst the stars,
And the sleeping moon,
Waltzing in the midnight sky,
The frozen waters,
A throne for the Snow Queen,
Where she will come to rest and watch,
The games the winds and flakes will play,
But with the inception of the day,
When the sun smiles at the sleeping queen,
She will awaken and fade away,
For her robe of snow will begin to weep,
And turn to waters of the deep,
The streams will thus begin to flow,
Birds from yonder will start to sing,
Some wondrous news they are to bring,
The layettes appear to hear the song,
The moment they’ve waited for all along,
The secrets of the seasons,
Lurking in the whispers of the fading Snow Queen,
And when the last snowflake vanishes away,
The parting clouds bring the fragrant breeze,
On a chariot riding through the trees,
In a robe of golden daffodils,
Arrives a great and tender king,
To sing the next verse of the winter chime,
He is the season we call Spring!

Roll on the Spring Ayesha,
Excellent writing, the winter has it's own beauty, but why does it have to get so cold!
Keep it up.
With love
Dean;-) |
