Golden Cask, The (Part I)

The crack of dawn,
And streaks of gold,
Cast across the mighty firmament,
But all mankind was dead,
Leaving behind only one son of Adam;
Vanquished by ignominy,
He howled away in pain,
Lifted his feeble, naked body,
Walked by the dead river bead,
And came to rest,
By a desiccated tomb,
And fell into an indolent slumber,
God was working amidst His esoteric space,
Moments taciturn and time was silent,
When a sparrow entered on a wig of light,
It stumbled on His threshold and stuttered in fright,
‘Thou can help him my Lord,
Thou can show him the way,
For he has wandered far astray,
He is a weakling, lost in an enigma,
Caught in to tile veracity,
Tired of the treacheries he brought upon himself,
End his inquietude with the truth, my Lord,
And let him, his deserved eternal sleep.’
And through the doors of the sky,
Flew Gabrielle chivalrous,
With his spirits audacious,
And he carried a golden cask,
He flew over the continents,
Over the decaying marks of time and war,
And came upon that naked son,
Lying dirty in his painful somnolence,
Gabrielle lifted him in his wings,
And flew away in swifty flight,
By a river bathed and cleansed this man,
Then dressed him in a robe of white.
