Walked Home Beating Bus Shelters

Contributed by kieran on Friday, 23rd January 2004 @ 03:36:28 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I walked home beating bus shelters
Tired of life and tired of those
Not in my arms
Tired of watching life go past
Seeing those say no
Images of the past mocking
Everything

I walked home beating bus shelters
Feeling the pain untold but unabated
Fist bruised and heart in knots
Feeling ***** and everything else
Without the nerve to hurt myself
Without the nerve to save myself

I walked home beating bus shelters
Wishing the pain was felt by someone else
Wishing the alcohol would bother with
Someone else
Wishing that she would not with anyone else

I walked home beating bus shelters
Listening to music
Listening to myself
Listening to the shame

I walked home beating bus shelters
Hoping what I felt was a big deal to someone else
Hoping what I felt could be returned or released

I walked home beating bus shelters
Seeing that the past is now present

I walked home beating bus shelters

Yes indeed this was nicely written ! Too bad you feel this way, hope everything will be better for you in the near run...I enjoyed reading.I truly believe not 1 poem is badly written, each poem follows it's own pace, and owns it's own expressions,no matter the words,as long as it's heartfelt and true.Good work,PumpkinPie

Take it from an old hand (really old) it's in the top half of the poems you get on YPDC.

It has an honesty and reality that you don't get from the "Suicidal Souls Society".

Great imagery "beating bus shelters" origional, l liked that .....let's have a few more
