After all, That's the Way God Intended It to Be

I need you in my life,
Like a flower needs the rain,
But God took you away,
And now my heart is slowly wilting,
And soon there will be nothing left.
That bright sunny day when you left to walk above,
My tears fell like rain,
As my tears streamed down my face,
They washed my hope and dreams away.
I hoped to see your smile,
Light up a room one more time,
And dreamed of all the happiness,
Would one day cover your pain.
But alas,
All the hopes and dreams flew swiftly out the window,
Soon after God chose you to leave.
But little did I know,
That even though God took you away,
He would make my life better,
By sending me down an angel,
Who will stay by my side forever.
Now your hard working hands are put to rest,
But your soul will forever be,
Right by my side,
After all, that’s the way God intended it to be.

That was a beautiful poem. It's so sad, yet beautiful in formation! |
