I found this site twelve months ago
so this is my "first birthday".
A suitable occasion
to have a little mirth day?
First to Mick, BIG THANK YOU for
corrections begged and made
I think I asked for sixty two
(a donation has been paid)
Next to all the ladies
a great big THANK YOU too
Angel, Dawny, emy,
Val and Connie Sue
Nessa, Jenni,, Shari,
Dixie,Jan, Michele,
Wendy,Judy,merry,
Saira and Michelle.
Anne, Phillipa, .Kara,
Becca, Lynn and Kie,
I can't remember everyone
no matter how I try
Such company extends the heart
with love in joyous style
we fantasise or tease......
to raise a little smile.
But menfolk!.......like to challenge
with differing points of view
yet not without a graciouness
that yields a point or two..........
........or offer some unstinting praise
like manna heaven sent
and even write a little verse
like norm .....(a pleasant gent)
And all the honest poetry
that everybody writes.
the smiles, the frowns, the heartaches.....
.....Crowded days and lonely nights.
Some are so sad I've even had
a tear roll down my face
I hope that heaven's half as good
as this enchanted place.
YPDC.....Micks Miracle!
(It's said he's due a Knighthood!
D'you know he's writing poetry

Congrats & happy first.
Your poems always make me smile.
I remember the first poem I read
of yours about fishing. I was hooked!
I grew up with a fisherman and
I have a soft spot for them....
They are often misunderstood-
Great Poem!

dear bob,
I just completely missed your first birthday.
I'm so sorry...i think I completely missed this poem.
I haven't been here but about 6 months now....but the place will never be the same again....yipeeeeeeeee, I too salute you King of the UK.......i'll never forget your poem on the geese as they fly over your way. And of course al the many laughs you bring to each of here at YPDC....reading your poems is like celebrating our birthdays many times in a year!

I'm still working on my first... Yet I've found that you're a great poet. Though I disagree with you theologically, I admire your talent. Keep it coming.
