I wash my hands of you!

------________---------

Sometimes I think best if you are left in my memory,
It is better kept inside for good,
Now I feel like I am constantly dreaming,
A dream that ends when it should.

I put too much faith in your false feelings,
I was fooled by your mis-leadings,
I bought every false line you where selling,
I never noticed all the lies your where telling.

I am now through thinking of things to say to you,
That’s right, I have said enough,
Slam the door behind my heart is what I will do,
You made my life hell, made the love so rough.

This time I am going to leave,
I am going to leave it all behind,
Finally I can take a deep breath and breathe,
No more thinking of things to say, no more being tongue-tied.

Wash my hands of this,
You notice that god won’t even help you out,
I am finished with all of this,
No more screaming your name, no more hearing your shouts.

You can keep your feelings anonymous,
And hide it all until the day you die,
I told you I wash my hands of this,
No more tears for you, no more time to cry.

You where suppose to be the closest thing to being me; But you are the furthest away,
I doubt that I will ever find if there is a way to not feel all-alone,
Lately I found out each and every day,
Maybe no one is going to save me, so I will do it on my own.

I wash my hands of your thought,
I wash my hands of your word,
I am in a battle I never should have fought,
I wash my hands of you; even though it sounds absurd!

I do have love for her, this will allways be true. But I must move on. One has to realize that the past is done. I would never go back to her for what she did to me. I just had to let my mind and soul get on the same page so I could move past it. I thank you for your comments... You may see I have written other poems about Kim and may see why I decided it was time to say farewell to her :)

sadly there comes a time when we have to decide.Sometimes its for our own good to move on nomatter the pain we have inside. This shows your inner most feelings and strength as well as your love.Well done.

Sadly it is painful and hurtful at the same time. But love does blind us. I guess one person can be so much in love, that they dont notice the pain and decpetion all around them. It is better to move on, so as the pain subsides and we can start to grow and heal.. I thank you for your comments, and appreciate you reading my poem. Please enjoy my other poems I wrote.

Ahhh...the pain...I do symphatize and I do congratulate you on your androit and needful decision to divorce yourself from such hurtful existance. But being a person who was once in love...long ago in another life...I must say that deciding to leave them forever out of your life is not the same as total severence. I made the same decision long ago to abandon a love but despite practical considerations it is sad that even up to now I still feel like a bit of me is torn and is eternally bleeding. Why is it that you can never forget...oh well..a nicely worked out piece of emotional outburst was your poem. It is nicely done...despite the subject matter. I can really feel that anguish and sense of loss and or hurt....but also that grim determination and absolute decision.

Washing your hands of her does not seem absurd. That was the right thing to do. This was amazing I hope u can carry on and find a girl more deserving of your love. You should c hange the last line to, 'I wash my hands of you; the best thing I ever did!' Great poem overall!
