When there are no words left between us
Our talk turned to breath
Our tongues left silent-
I will still know your voice,
I will still hear your words...
When there are no days left to spend
No minutes left to spare;
Knowing time stops not for love,
Nor man
I will still love you like I did yesterday,
I will still find you like I did today.
When there are no more nights left to spend
Wrapped up in your skin-
I will still feel your touch reaching for me,
I will still reach for you;
We are but one, split in two.
Even when I am nothing more than dust
I will still love you with every gain
With every whisper
Every poem, every joy
I have ever known....
