It took too long, goes too slow
I should act better, yeah, I know
But I’ve fallen far below bottom’s end
Where are those that call me ‘friend’?
It’s complete and utter danger
As if I’m looking to a stranger
You say you’ve held me tight
But then where were you all the nights
I needed solitude?
I’ll turn and say my goodbyes
Wipe away tears at my eyes
Leave you all to contemplate
What we’ve been through
And after all is done and said
I looked too far, I over read
It all straight, went over my head
And now I’m lost
So lost
It took too long, goes too slow
I should act better, yeah, I know
But I’ve fallen far below bottom’s end
Where are those that call me ‘friend’?
Look at what I’ve done
What have I tried to overcome?
There’s nothing wrong
I searched for something that’s not real
I think I’m just looking for an excuse
While waiting for someone to cut me loose
