You say that people should have gone beyond the exterior to see my brilliant gold beneath,
And to you my heart I did bequeath,
But little do you know , there is no gold lying underneath,
But some color like obsidian, burnt and black
from pain,
And upon it lies a heavily burdened strain,
Aim high you say to me,
But now I see,
That I have aimed to high,
For I could never capture your heart, or put a twinkle in your eye,
But , my dear, I would like to say this to you,
And know only that in my heart this rings true,
I may love you for a long time, maybe even my whole life, who knows,
Know only this, that each day it grows.
