My One and Only

Contributed by hawaii06 on Thursday, 22nd January 2004 @ 04:43:44 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

You tell me to call, I do. It’s busy, so I try again.
Still 15 minutes later; it’s busy.
You told me you’d be available, yet you weren’t.
Again it feels like I’m betrayed and used.
I think I love you. Well deep down inside I do,
But my mind doesn’t know what to believe.
You say you’d always be there, but right now, I don’t know what to believe.
I know I’m not your first priority, but can’t you still care for me?
I know you have a job, have to attend school and have homework,
But I as well have all that except a job but that’s where my sports come in.
I still think about you and try to call you.
I love you baby. I’m not just saying that either, deep down inside I love you!
I feel for you like I’ve never felt for anyone or anything.
You are my all; my everything
The only person who I will ever love; the only person who has found the hole in my heart
You may not know it, but you filled it with your love.
I let you in because I didn’t think you would hurt me.
Did I make the right choice? I hope so.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
