The flesh, it is so weak
Apparent it becomes
Because I cannot speak
Black beauty overcomes
Martina King is not aware
I'm tethered to her soul
She walks away to my despair
She does it to us all
The flesh, it is so weak
Her darkness next to mine
She rocks me in my sleep
She rocks me all the time
Martina, black mythology
Our story to be told
Our national psychology
Black beauty to behold
