Happy Anniversary

Contributed by MissTea on Thursday, 22nd January 2004 @ 11:43:15 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Tears as fresh as the morning dew,
crest her velvet skin.
She cries for someone to help her,
heal the pain within.

Fist thrown across her chest,
causes her to fall.
Bleeding hands, cracked nails,
all from her desperate, helpless crawl.

Blood merged with tears, as the cracked lip
leaks red.
She looks into his eyes, pleaing for release,
for that final blow to declare her dead.

She remembers the "special" day, just one year ago.
When he said I DO and she innocently followed in ditto.

It didn't take long for his anger to seed,
hitting her in the stomach, causing an internal bleed.

She loved him too much to
say good-bye,
so on their first anniversary, he began the assalt, on the cold and grey winters July.

He finished the job he had so quickly started.
She was the Lady in Red, her very own,
and in the end she was declared...Jaded.

LOVE WHAT A LOVE
DOESNT PUSH AND SHOVE.

VERBALLY ITS A SURETY
SIGNS COME WHEN THINGS GET
TOUGH.

NOW EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORNS
WE SOMETIMES HANDLE KINDA ROUGH

BUT WHEN THE FIRST PETAL FALLS
ITS TIME TO SAY ENOUGHS ENOUGH.

LOVE CAN BE SO BLIND
WHEN YOU FORGET TO TAKE THE
TIME...
TO SET DOWN YOUR HEARTS
BOUNDARIES
BEFORE YOU EVALUATE THERE
MIND !!!

THE SIGNS ARE SO APPARENT
FROM THE START BUT DO WE CARE

LOVE HOLDS FAITH AND HOPE
BUT ITS NOT A ROPE HANGING
ABOVE YOU IN YOUR CHAIR.
