The Pain Is Gone

Contributed by KittyVamp on Thursday, 22nd January 2004 @ 02:31:58 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

The pain is gone
I have no fear
the room has started spinning
I feel my knees give out
suddenly I'm on the floor
amidst the lake of red
my body, a pale island
an island with many deep holes
the knife is still in my side
my final resort to stop the pain
stop the anger stop the tears
as I slowly pull it out
the blood gushes over my hands
freezing, ice cold blood
as cold as the soul quickly fleeing
a soul that's been alone
that never had a chance
the world beat her down
and pushed her to this point
now it's come to this
the blood seeping over the floor
slowly covering everything
moving with a mind of it's own
the room around me starts to fade
hiding behind the gray fog
my hands are cold as ice
lying limply in my lap
but now the pain is gone
and now I have no fear
