Kaleidoscope Oblivion

This world goes 'round and 'round
Spinning into a kaleidoscope oblivion,
But the busy city streets
Are dizzy with traffic
And lit up like a match...
I can see the lights
Shine into my widow at night,
Illuminating the emptiness that surrounds me
Like the quiet hillsides that know my secrets
With them only I share.
I watch from my room
This world go 'round and 'round
Spinning around me
Orbiting itself into oblivion
Watching time go by,
Fast as money is spent
Days that pass with no remorse
Leaving me to face the unchangable world
With only my skin as armor.
This world just spins and spins
Like a spider and her web
And I am caught going 'round in circles,
Just chasing the wind.
