Love in the Night

Topic: LovePoetry

Stay and hold me tight
Your warm body next to mine
Don’t leave me on this night
Give this love a chance
I will show you the doorway to romance

Lavender candles in the twilight
Flickering on a beach of virgin white
Shadows play off our bodies
This moment feels so right
We can perfect this love all through the night

An ocean soaked in my love for you
Calm waves wash over us
Cooling the burning passion inside
Exhausted, we lay side by side
Peaceful serenity on the beach where we lie

The sun rises over the azure waves
Its warmth stirs me from my slumber
In my arms, so close to me
I wake you with a kiss so tenderly
Placed upon your soft, flushed lips

Your eyes flutter open and gaze at me
Grinning from memories of the night before
Of the love we made on this crystal shore
Of the passion inside that we hold and store
To share forever, evermore
