self isolation

Contributed by saddarkgirlreingsthenight on Wednesday, 21st January 2004 @ 04:20:31 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

why do people like to drag me in the middle
of their little petty fights?
why do people tell me lies and not the truth?
why do people hate the friends i choose?
i'm tired of being in the middle of the fight.
i want to be friends with both groups but i can't fight this fight.
i don't know who to believe anymore,
i don't know who to choose,
all i know is i can't fight anymore.
the toll it takes on me shows upon my arms,
and on my ankles where the scars are hidden.
i start to isolate my self,
to go back to having no friends.
and i start to wonder why i even reach out to friends again.
when all i get is pain and suffering,
losses, and heartbreaks.
right now i'd rather be alone
then to put my broken heart on the line again.
so now this rhyme is almost over,
and i think my life is too.
no i won't kill myself i promised not to.
but i just don't know what to do.

If they were true friends you wouldn't have to choose. Leave them to it and concentrate on YOU! You have a talent, vent those dark thoughts through your poetry and if you wanna chat feel free to contact me. Be strong you are special in your own unique way.

Ali xx

A problem with friends? Well, tell you what, I have three very close friends myself, and the fact is, ALL three of them hate one another!!! o_o What I do was, I told each of them, 'I would be so glad if you people would get on, but since thats not going to happen, the one thing I would like you to do is- do NEVER EVER say bad things about one another in front of me!!! I love you as much as the rest, and if you do love me too, you should respect me, and don't put me in a difficult position whenever I am around!'.... Well, happily, they proved to be real friends and listened, although they still dislike one another, but they behave well in front of me....... I don't know how bad is your situation, hopefully this will give you a bit of idea...... if you need advise, well, here I am!^_^ Good luck!
