I have already forgotten you
I forgot
The touch of your lips on my naked skin
The way you’d bite your lip when you were thinking
How you would hold me close while sleeping (and not even know it)
And how angry you would make me when you made a mess
I don’t even remember
The sound of your voice while saying “I love you”
Your laughter
Or Sunday mornings when we made pancakes together
No more memories of
Our first camping trip,
Our first fight
Or the first time we made up
You see,
When you left…
I forgot all about you

The more I read of your poem the harder I cried. This really moved me. So many familiar bells rang, I guess you never forget even when you think you have. This is my favorite by you so far, although all have been good. Kie |
