AmericanTragedy

I hear her in a dreamy haze
playing on those summer days
biscuits cooking on the trays
under the golden sunny glaze.
Tricks were played for a smile
together on, we walked for miles
I was lifted so, by her style
and in love we were a while.
Bathed in water, in the nude
looked at her with desire anew
I knew her love was so true
Oh why do I feel so blue?
Love, if you hear me still.
Why give me this bitter pill?
You have broken all my will
forever is a long time till.
I now don't hear your call
and at your precious feet I fall
no longer can I stand tall
because of this ladden shawl.
