Remembering

Topic: LostLove

Walking along the path
Soaked in the suns bath
In the quiet of day
The trees sway
The soothing breeze
My heart does freeze
I remember your fragrance
A light airy dance
The touch of your hand
And where is would land
The silk of your kiss
Oh, how I miss
The sparkle in your eyes
Your soft gentle sighs
The freckles on your nose
If time had just froze
When you were mine
We’d been just fine
You in my arm
Away from all harm
A world away
We would stay
Lost in the night
No one in sight
Oh, beautiful rose
My love still grows
In my dreams
How real this seems
I wake in a sweat
Feeling regret
For the words I said
Now that you’re dead
The empty spot in my bed
Where you once laid your head
The silence I fear
It has been a year
Since that fateful day
When you went away
My days are long
Without your song
Without you around
I’ve hit the ground
My heart has wasted away
It could no longer stay
