Testimony of a Wretch

When I was born I was born in sin
For years I could not ever hope to win
Good things I thought would get me in
But I was still not good enough deep within

For I could not be perfect in God's eyes
Until I turned from Satan’s lies

Or until I confessed I was a sinner
Only then could I become a winner

I asked Jesus into my heart you see
Please Lord save this wretch is my plea
I did not find Him, He found me
He could do the same for thee
Pray this prayer below is my plea

Do not say I will wait until tomorrow
If you do you could face everlasting sorrow

We do not have a guarantee
Tomorrow we will ever see
Tomorrow is a gift from He
That He gave to you and me

Just ask Jesus to come into your heart
Know that you are a sinner and of God you have no part
Ask for His forgiveness let it come from your heart

And say I believe He sent His Son
To die at Calvary for your sin, He is the only one
Who could have ever got victory and won

And He arose on day three
Victorious over death for you and me
For all that truly do believe
And confess by mouth to someone, glory be
This is the gift He gives that is totally free
You now have life eternal now you see

Praise God for His Son!

Jesus Christ took our sin and did not leave a trace
The one and only true way to God’s true grace
Call upon Him now it is the time and place
And enter into life eternal and win life’s race
One day you will meet Him face to face
There is no cost for His mercy and His grace
