I'll never change
My soul won't rearrange
I'll disappear
Mask my face to hide my fear
I'll always hurt
Down on my knees in the dirt
I'll bleed you out
But that's not what it's about
I'm always gonna be
Defensive
Thoughtfully pensive
Antagonistic
Perfectly idealistic
Egotistic
Unavoidably fatalistic
But I'm sorry that I turned out this way
And I'm sorry it changes every day
I'm sorry you thought I was something else
But I've never lied about how I felt
I'm falling down
I'm afraid I've turned around
I'm only me
There's no one else I can be
I'm lost in hate
Through the pain I can't see straight
I'm bleeding love
For as below, so above
I'm never gonna be
Euphonius
Falsely sanctimonious
Amenable
Emotionally stable
Unsuspicious
Successfully auspicious
But I'm not sorry for feeling this way
And I wish on the stars that I could stay
Maybe I'll be sorry the day I die
But this pain in me wants to say goodbye
If I don't live to
See another day
I just want you to know
I loved you in every way
I know this isn't
What you want me to say
But I hope
You'll love me anyway

| The person you are at your core, is who you will always truly be. No one is perfect but you know what? In your poem you have shown that you have faults but you are capable of great love if someone can accept you as you are. That is a sign of finding yourself as a person. | This was very well written. I was beginning to wonder when I'd see you writting again. I liked this. You did it incredibly well. I think he'll still love you. He'd be a fool if he didn't. |
