Afrocentrically Exotic

Afrocentrically Exotic

I remember when I first met you,
I was swept away by your beauty,
How you could take earth’s finest clothing,
Breathe life into this beautiful soul,
Then wrap it this beauty whose spirit is so pure,

I see that she is a wonderful sight to behold,
One who makes the gift of sight a pleasure,
But one who is so much more than attractive,
For her alluring appeal comes from her presence,
Enveloped in a sea of afrocentricness,

I love the Afrocentricness that makes her who she is,
Because I love my Black Women just like her,
Vocal about what she wants but unequipped with the male hatred,
Because she’s someone who loves the man she is with,
Respecting him for who he is,
For like Alicia Keys,
She knows what a good man is worth,

I also love her accent,
For it’s just like the song of the birds,
Just like the wind blowing at a different speed,
Or a lovely way of the earth expressing itself to me,
As I take in the beauty of this great piece of poetry,
Speaking to me through the art of a eloquent existence,

From the tips of her dreads,
To the souls of her feet,
Hoping and wishing there’s a crevice that I could meet,
Because with her you can fall in love so easily,

Queen of the exotic,
That’s what you are to me,
Cause from what I’ve seen,
And how I grew up,
You’re the queen of the unique,
The one woman I dream of,
In hopes that I’ll awake from this nocturnal fantasy,

It’s something about the queen of exotica,
That’s gets me to the point of erotica,
Turning me on like a light switch,
As she rejoices through the electricity running through you,
Setting both of our worlds on fire,

She gets my heart running when we make luv,
Captivating my senses like none other,
Turning up the heat in the room,
As I can see many flowers in full bloom,
Spread all across the stars,

But for now I must live with all this depressed hopefulness,
Waiting in line for my turn at happiness,
Crying a silent blues that only has one key,
For I know that we can make beautiful music together,

I miss my Foxey Lady,
Daydreaming about my love like Hendrix,
Wrapped up in the comfort of my energetic Euphoria,
While she gets me spinning in a trance,

She then gets me going like a drum and bass jam,
Sending my heart straight through the roof,
Hoping to one day get a feel of her being for myself,
So I can let go of my imagination,

For she’s like a angel on earth,
Completely equipped with all the love in the world,
Soothing my thirst for affection,
Like a cool summer breeze,

I sometimes wish that I never have my thirst quenched,
Because the thought of her teases me so,
A special feeling that I’m scared to let go of,
Yet I want to steal her away from my dreams,

But when I stop to think about it,
It’s so amazing what those sistas can do to me,
How they can get me to do whatever they desire,
Yet I still have this unquenchable fire,
Because I’m drawn to the women who are Afrocentrically Exotic,
