addiction

Contributed by netweight23oz on Monday, 19th January 2004 @ 10:52:57 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I die bit by bit every day
As I watch pieces of me fade away
Pools of maroon lie on the floor
Addiction shows its face on more
A sudden rush, the once thing I need
To make all my ugly truths be seen
As I look at myself and wish to burn
And for my knife again I yearn

This is all to familiar to me
Through these tears I can no longer see
This inner torment no one understands
Im left alone with nothing in my hands
And I can’t imagine other emotions
As mine tie me down and end all my motion
Deliriously I then go and lay
Until I give in to addiction another day…

well that was a wee bit depressing.... but i see it in alot of people, the need to self destruct... the night can be a long cold and dark place.... but for those with eyes to see there are lights burning ever so bright... we must cultivate the joys in our lives...

wow this is a wonderful write on self abuse.. I know how you feel . I used to cut myself to take away my inner pain.. its a hard thing to deal with and its very addicting.. but it does make you forget the pain that lies within for a little while.. awesome job.. so sad
