Can't wait for the day!

Contributed by lowman613 on Monday, 19th January 2004 @ 08:37:06 PM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

More & more as the days go by,
Your getting bigger in me,
I feel you kick,and then I cry,
a feeling from my lil'baby,
I sit here thinking of you each day,
your brothers wonder too,
talking to my stomach they say....
"Leann we can't wait to see you!"
The days ,the weeks seem so long,
I wish the day was here,
but also hoping nothing goes wrong,
thats something we all fear,
I sit in your room,in all it's pink,
and rearrange stuff here & there,
when will you come, I sit & think,
if you only knew how much we care,
I feel your tiny kicks at night,
moving about in me,
how your lil' face will be a sight,
that I can't wait to see,
the weeks are going so slow,
it doesnt seem like it will end,
waiting for the day you'll show,
My special daughter & friend,
I never thought I could love someone,
with out seeing their face,
but I love you more with every riseing sun,
a feeling I cant replace,
For I dont need to hear or see you,
to know what I'm feeling is love,
its just the tiny little things you do,
that makes me thank the God above!

Wow that is one thing I'll never experience child birth. You made it sound so peaceful and happy those days and months. I'm sure it all wasn't but you dwelled on the positive. The poem is uplifting and I really think it will help mother's to be understand the pleasures of having a baby. You know a great idea would be to do a countdown as you write the poem. For example, It's the eleventh week and sixth hour I just left my baby shower. I feel the kick then the power I know it could be any hour. Or something like that..... Anyways I wish you the best & all my prayers

Dear Christina,
Everythings going to be all right...so don't you worry your little head at all!
She will be so beautiful, and when you meet she will remember you....for right now, she is happy and kicking...getting ready to make her preview!
I'm so happy for you, and her!.....When I had all girls and no boys..........I couldn't even imagine how a boy would be. I just posted a poem for his 38th today.......seems just like yesterday I was giving birth.
Oooddddlllees of hugs and kisses for you both
Loving poem! She will cherish it one day!
ConSue
