I stare out my window
The day away into dark,
My thoughts cluttered
With the anticipation of long awaited joy-
Returned once more to me,
His borrowed heart.
Like a season or storm that springs forth
My love turned into hate,
Into love again
In the midst of chaos
To bring such quiet relief.
My heart obliges time
Waiting for the winter to pass me by
I know there will always be another spring,
Another love, another life out there-
Even if it's not for me to live.
But today
The weather is fair,
My heart in tranquil bliss
Drunken off the splendor of impetuous love
And it's sweet hereafter.
Today,
I know the joy
My heart longed for yesterday...

This was interesting. Very nicely done though. I liked how you wrote it. |
