What It Takes

Contributed by CuttersAngel on Sunday, 18th January 2004 @ 10:41:57 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Cuts so deep that after ten minutes they still bleed
But these cuts are filling the emptiness of my needs
It starts as one, but there's always more
And again nothing will be like it was before
241 scars are totaled on my arms
But with my scars come stories of harm
Of pain, of anger, of uncontrollable hate
Don't condemn me for following my fate
These are my scars, these are my stories
But not a single one holds any glory
As I'm ridiculed for the choices I make
I keep in mind that only few people will relate
Only few will know what it's like to hold such pain
Sometimes it's too much & we let blood spill like rain
But these are our choices, just leave us be
We do what it it takes for us to feel free.

Another awesome write. Great job! (do you really know the exact amount of cuts on your arm? if so, that's pretty crazy... lol)
