Lost

Contributed by hazelnut on Sunday, 18th January 2004 @ 01:51:17 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Lost
In thought
The uncertainty that plagued
Pushing away demons, I fought
In a battle that I could not
Emerge victorious, knowledge I lacked
Like a trap, a spider's web, I was caught

Lost
In emotion
Pierced by prickling sadness
Enraged by burning anger, like a boiling potion
At times engulfed in waves of anxiety, in a vast ocean
Wondering...is there happiness
Beyond the endless horizon

Lost
In a maze
A path in a mysterious jungle, a dark forest
Haphazard directions, crisscrossing trails, left me in a daze
Slivers of pale light filtered through this place
Where it's hard to separate Truth and Illusion, losing focus
The way out is hidden in this enclosed space

Lost
In your arms
Breathing in your scent
Your strong embrace sheltering me from harm
From the dangers and fears that come
relentlessly, if only for a fleeting moment
As in the eye of a storm, there is calm
