Rocking the cradle
One last time
Pathetic Display
To stay young and naive
Only nostalgic fools
Relive dreams of
Fickle high school parades
But are you free?
I'm disappointed you
Can't put every slight
The most damning hurt
Behind you but
I can't blame you
Cause there's nothing
But insanity in front
Your eyes have scanned the world
But your soul remains cold
It's tempting to move
Into the unknown
Yet the record has shown
You're immeshed within the problem
But bored with the solution.
It won't be long
Before fate uncovers
The fragile little girl
Beneath the confident exterior
As the cowards can't help but smile
Afraid to admit to an insufferable heart
That we're inferior.
