I do not fully understand how women value gems,
Whether they should have them just to show the size to other femmes.
They seem to ask the men to buy, to gratify their yen,
Such requests have often ruined many hard working men.
I do not wish to have debate with grasping female types,
Those that use jewelry to substantiate their gripes,
If they don't have what Mabel has, that lives across the hall,
You'd think their lives were shattered and they closed up all the malls.
Listen, girls, I'm closing now and you won't suck me in,
I give no twig for what you think, some geegaws are a sin.
Engagement and a wedding ring make perfect sense to me,
But payments for the next ten years; how dumb can someone be?

lol Norm!
if you look in my jewlery box you may find some pretty stones but not many there may be but I paid cash for each you see. I dont need to have a ring for every finger and for every toe I dont even need a diamond stud sticking out of my nose.So I know my hubby is happy because Im so low key hey I look at it this way Im so pretty I dont need to shine with a fancy diamond you see tee hee hee!

LOL!!!!!!!!! Great peice. Women are funny creatures men will never understand. I'll tell you one of my favorite quotes, I hope it makes you laugh as much as your poem made me!

| in history there are also many men who valued the beauty of gems and killed to get them, and hord them, this is not only something women do; for the women you speak of here i agree they are silly if they have to keep up with the one across the hall; my rings i wear are all very sentimental and worn for a reason, yup i wear a toe ring i think they are sexy, the jewerly i have is not a great quantity, some was stolen over the years, and yes, i want the fairytale ending with my romance and if he loved me like he says he does i would appreciate a ring, so i can oooh and ahh and say ahh he loves me... and let the sun glisten on it... you men worry too much about things i think, and see not the reason of this one rings importance, thats my only gripe here, puh, hugs n' love nessa |

well the poem is clever and awesome and what you say i do agree with to a certain extent i do find that women are obsessed with jewlery.. and its always the expensive ones lol well most of the time, but you complain slightly about paying so much for a ring and yet we all pay hundreds and sometimes thousands for our tvs etc and yet we still try to out a price on love, maybe the amounts are crazy today and i understand and quite agree with your opinion but then again if you were paying for the next ten years would every time you see that amount in your statement remind you of how much you must really love that women
lol cut a long and probably stupid point short to have buy it in the first place you must have been tottally in love or tottally stupid so either way you knew it was coming lol so why complain |

I remember the first picture of a lady that I liked. She was sitting on a rock wearing a twin set and plaid skirt. She had walking shoes and a walking stick this would be around 1936 and she was advertising something.
The only jewelry she wore was a string of beads (pearls actually but I was very young)
I thought she looked very nice and I haven't seen any model since, looking nicer.
