Let's really see what's going on,
You girls are being fed a con,
THEY tell you now, you're way ahead,
Work, have kids and play in bed.
Look how far you've gone since THEN,
Educatate, you equal men,
You can have it all these days
And THEY prove it..many ways.
I tell you now, I tell you this,
There is a point that you could miss,
What isn't stressed, you aught to know,
Somewhere on earth, a woman's low.
Some women bow their heads to males,
And if they don't their head inpales,
Some women cover head to feet,
And if they don't then they'll be beat.
I tell you this, I tell you now,
If one woman's made to bow,
THEN, the way it looks to me,
There is no woman really FREE.

"Some women bow their heads to males,
And if they don't their head inpales,
Some women cover head to feet,
And if they don't then they'll be beat."
But what if some do it simply out of choice?
Are they still not free? |

Answer to anonymous:
---------------------------------------
A woman can choose to suicide,
Or kill her children then go hide,
or eat a cup of glass with glee,
Yes, she is judged to be quite FREE.
'tween you and me if this the case,
this woman is easy to abase,
She never learned that quality
Is really what makes a woman..FREE |

Dear Norm,
Very thought provoking poem!
But I can't answer without knowing this?
What are you talking about when you say FREE?
I'm from Wyoming where first woman were given voting sufferage! So you mean that kind?
Or are you specifically talking about FREEDOM as far as men are concerned?
What about men....are they free? I can't think of one single individual anywhere in this world that is free....from taxes, governments , even death etc. Freedom from Gravity? So many different examples....if you would please explain further in your wonderful poem, then I could more accurately answer in correct form!
Could you that please.
Thank you,
ConSue |

Hmm thoughtful poem, I'd agree as well, women are said to be free but in reality we all know that some women still suffer from injustices. Very good written poem, it made me reflect about our situation in society.

some men aren't free either... ever heard of society's where women can decide to have more than one husband... and the husbands must bow down to them? I forget the official word for it but there are such things... |

Well you definitely put a question in my mind and have given me thoughts to think on. Will men and women ever be equal everywhere? I dunno. Great poem Norm.

Hi norm,
as a male i agree,
we must set our women free.
from a male point of view this is a true poem.
i think we should treat every one the same.
no matter what there gender.
very,very good. |

Wow, I must say this was very well done, I liked it! :D
And it makes me think, yes, hm, the topic isn't my fav.....but I agree to your point. Hmm, but, if we can claim that "If one woman's made to bow,
THEN, the way it looks to me,
There is no woman really FREE"
doesnť it also mean that
as long as a man does live
there'll be need for us to give
a privilege that a right should be
to those who suffer silently
......?

'Tisn't a choice most of the time maybe you missed some of the stanza though so I forgive it. I liked this norm. You really aren't normal though. Lol. |
