I remember fondly first love.
It was grand when it was new.
But I also remember a broken heart,
For love faded like the dew.

I am one of those many,
Where outside I do not show.
But on the inside I’m crying out,
Oh girl, I want you so!

I met her at first just briefly.
But instantly I did know,
That she’d be the one to fulfill my dreams,
And give my heart fire its’ glow.

It seems like a dream now
As time has sped on.
For I must forget now that
She’s really gone!

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
