BRUISED SOUL, WOUNDED HEART

Contributed by emystar on Saturday, 17th January 2004 @ 06:10:42 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

She was a vibrant woman in control
where oh where did her spirit go?
She rocked the world with her song,
Where oh where has her joy gone?

She has a bruised soul, a wounded heart
He caused her pain from their start.
Friend, oh friend, see her now
She's found new ground to plow.

Walking away from tortured pain
Now she smiles thru life's rain.
When lightening crashes all around
Her spirit soars 'cause love she's found.

So listen up, my shattered friend
We're all survivers to the end.
Walk away from sordid, useless pain.
Get into life, smile again.

This is a great piece of work, I like how you created an intimacy with the person then hsowed it could be done, it shines with truth and true beauty.

I like that . . . especially the last stanza. There's a certain poignancy to this that just stabs at you-- "my shattered friend". Wow. Nice job!
