Help me
i'm mutating into this mishapen
two-headed fool with no opinions and everything to lose
i'm confused and isolated
my four arms flailing helplessly
and i'm envious of the clock with its simplistic two hands as they move in eternal circles
faster and faster and i can't remain co-ordinated as my foot strikes me in panic
i stumble and trip
collapsing on the ground and my own extra weight is smothering me
this overpowering extension is volunteering me for the postion of 'slave to Time'
they are in league and i can't disagree
i can't let 'me' be taken over completely
i need to break free
release
release
seperate
flee

I know the feeling that you describe exactly. It is one of the best poems I've ever had the delight of reading. |
