happiness escaped, out the window
some would say
and I believe them now
but i didn't then
what if's fill my plate
and I lose my appetite
for trying new flavors
nothing tastes right
alone in a crowd
I am not happy to be
anyplace that you are not
yet you stay so far away
it wasn't love at all
it was worse than that
something elemental
full of rampant desire
startled by my own heart
thinking in technicolor again
you are lightening and I am rain
the storm maker came to me

Well this poem touched me big time. I got the pre-cursor signals that said my nerve endings were agreeing. I could really, honestly, whole heartedly relate to your poem. Good one Merry.

I hope nothing is wrong. You write with such emotion sometimes I get worried about you. Ya know I'm here if you need and ear.
