Topic: Nostalgic

To my dearest friend,
Whom I cherish and love;
He who has alighted,
From my Earth; my sky; my sun.

Nothing can or has compared,
To your sweet and charming face;
And even though I never see you,
Your features are seared into place.

Your smile that had me weak in the knees,
That rent my heart in two;
You were always laughing that unforgettable laugh,
This is etched within my mind too.

Never had I met someone as unique,
A rare gem shielded in Earth;
Never again will I meet one so enduring,
Like a flame glinting within the hearth.

Forever will you live on,
Within my pounding heart;
Never will you be removed from the glow,
The glow that was first love.
