Across sea

Topic: war

off to the horizon i could not see
as we all set out across the sea
scared i am of what the future might be
as we leave our home land to fight willingly
i fall asleep and your face is all i see
you and my world all seem so heavingly
once again fear surpasses all of me
and now we fight so another can be free
the days are long and the nights too short for me
not that any of us could sleep decently
but i will not faulter to fight on land across the sea
and if tommorrow should be my last to see
just know my love that i always love thee
and i will meet you in heaven with God Almighty
