Your cosmetic lies engulf me with your trite words of promise
That I can be some one for 3 easy payments of 24.95
But With all this work I cant buy something real
I can go to church and be saved by believing these hypocrits
Filling their voids with blind happiness
I close my eyes as I am force fed lies and pretend to like it
But when I get sick I see my true self
A world where truth is smothered by “love”
One giant halmark card, that settles easy in your stomach
As you ignore the truth around you about our lives
And I can have all the heartache happiness can buy
Or have all this happiness shot down by rules
rules that I need to be rich and have a family
I refuse to swallow these lies any more
Your blind, and claim to see beauty in me
So you comfort yourself with your imagination
We can end this all and create our selves
But all my lies are too hard to sell….
