round and round we go

Round and round we go
Off again to another show
Moments in time frozen in ice
All just rolls of loaded dice
Smattering of applause and screams drift to my ears
Making me wonder of humanity, a wishing for a beer
Insanity seeps up from the depths
Seeking release with every breathe
Twisted thoughts pass by the screen
Leaving a bluish red sheen
I often find myself here wandering
As I sit quietly in a crowd listening
We crave company incessantly
With out it comes insecurity
Even though it’s often just insincerity
Why do we lie so often to ourselves?
Creating our own little cells
Another lie, another bar
Just a step closer to your own bell jar
