broken mirrors

Shades of gray feelings that clutter my head
Swallowing sugar coated lies, as I get drunk
Off jealousy, bad vodka and blood
Drunk enough to drive home, and pray for the brakes to lock
Your like a fountain to me
Gushing words of praise
That wrap around my neck
As my naivety ties the knot
And my lifeless body dangles
And I whisper to forget me not
Im enticed by the reflection of your eyes
Staring back in those pools of maroon on the floor
And shards of broken mirrors lay on the floor
As sharp as your lies and as dull as my eyes
Like a fruitless search for self worth
Destroyed this lack of words…
