A bit of a swagger, a bit of a grin
Big Bad Jack, is what they call him
Now Jack he had a lovely wife
And a half a dozen kids
And he loved them more than his life
But that didn't stop what he did
He would wink and he would flirt
While his missus fumed and raged
Jack kept chasing after skirts
Until one night he got engaged
A bit of a swagger, a bit of a grin
Big Bad Jack, is what they call him
Some young lovely believed what he said
Down on lover's lane they parked
When her daddy found where they hid
Jack tried to say it was just a lark
But the gal she began to cry
And her daddy pulled a gun
Jack was not prepared to die
And he was too drunk to run
So he got down on bended knee
Asked her to be his bride
Wondering how mad his wife might be
Maybe she would let it slide
A bit of a swagger, a bit of a grin
Big Bad Jack, is what they call him
Jack brought flowers and chocolates too
He kissed his lovely wife and kids
He didn't know what else to do
But she said, this time you're on the skids
His new gal decided he was not fit to be
The one to walk her down the aisle
She couldn't love him for eternity
And so she left Jack with a smile
Now Jack is lonely and by himself
He took some time to think a while
But by no means is he on the shelf
With a bit of a swagger, a bit of a smile

You do a swell job poetically
-----------------------------------------
Poor Jack is really not too bad,
What he did was kind of sad,
He hit a wall because of dad,
It's just bad luck, is what he had.
His wife she left him in the lurch,
She bent him down just like a birch,
Because he put her on a perch,
Now, Jack, boy, expand your search.
