Finally your price handsome has arrived,
he came, he saw, he conquered,
about you, you survived.
I can’t say I am happy for you,
because the prospect of losing my inspiration to a better person {hopefully}
is bringing me sadness too.
The feelings are mixed,
i feel after losing you my inspiration my poetic career is jinxed.
I do pray for you,
as I always have and God always blesses you.
Think dear, think,
our relationship is just like the paper and the ink.
But paper can be torn,
ink can be spilled,
so many uncertainties prevail to the hilt.
Life does change after marriage, so do people,
you too will change along with people.
Responsibilities and sacrifice thy name is marriage.
If wishes had wings,
i would have sat on them,
would have come to you and whispered sweet things.
But life is an ask,
i have to finish and move onto the next task.
Day by day as your marriage day gets closer,
i am thinking,
has our relationship gone any further from where it was to get us closer?
With tears in my eyes,
and heartfelt sadness I wish God would have been
considerate to poets like me before creating marriage ties.

Wow... This was filled with a sense of sadness and loss. I did like how you wrote it but it was almost overwhelming. Hopefully you will be able to write on. |
