When I first saw you on that day
I let my thoughts just drift away
We talked and you made me feel great
There was nothing about you I could hate
But even then I knew I shouldn't
Get involved, but stop I couldn't...
I didn't mean to love or care
But we seemed like the perfect pair
You smiled and made my heart skip beats
You always said the sweetest things
It felt so good to be with you
Oh maybe if I'd only knew
I never thought we'd fall apart
I never thought you'd break my heart
None of this I knew would come
And now I wish I could just run
Run from here and all the pain
Go somewhere that won't drive me insane
But every time I go to leave
A voice inside me begs me "Please,
Don't give up on love just yet.
Something good will come, I bet"
So since I didn't listen at first
I listen now, dreading the worst
Sitting here and wasting away
Waiting for you to come my way...
