She came to me
In see-through
Sheets of white,
Silky smooth, speckled ink,
And I think
I fell onto the page
And placed my heart there
Next to hers
Where she could hear
It missing beats
Like me, she’s sometimes
Weak and woozy,
Uncertain and lost
In confusion,
Searching for new ways
To examine the mirror
Conquer the fear
Of self
When she speaks
It’s familiar,
And I become
Wealthy and wild
In thought, in wisdom,
Un-alone in the tone of
Her voice
And her words
Bubble over
Into a magical pool
Where we swim
Nude and dreaming
Like little girls do
