She sat in class one day,
Bored to death by the teacher's droning,
About ancient people and their ancient way,
All of that time thinking what else she could be doing.
Extremely religious Goths in the Middle Ages?
Wasn't there more to just that, in her Humanities class?
More than architecture and Catholics? She was getting tired of the pages.
Why did it seem like something she could not impasse?
Finally he let the students to themselves.
She sighed in relief, having been glaring.
She wondered if she could write a story about elves.
A girl behind her was talking, raring.
About what she didn't know.
She just sat there and read.
She talked with her friends about their God, aglow.
They tried to get her to talk, but she'd rather live in a shed.
See, she thought that she believed like they did.
But oh, how wrong she was.
They didn't know that she did chide.
They questioned her faith, asking her why, and she said "just because."
Did they know that they were doing her a favor?
Turning her away from what she was never comfortable with?
A religion that made no sense, and that it was something that would not make her waiver?
She never imagined that she'd become a witch.

I like it... though you make the idea of being a witch sound so ominous. Other than that, great write!

If your friends try to convert you start speaking in tongues and spitting at everything... It seems to work pretty well. Lol. Sorry. Very good write. I liked how you ended it. I also liked the parts about the teacher letting you be free of their incessant ramblings. |
