Throw up

Contributed by Necromant on Wednesday, 14th January 2004 @ 02:10:16 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

The tang of my salty blood still lingers in my mouth,
I’ve just threw up, couldn’t let the vile essence sprout,
This life is smoldering my heart, turning it to ashes,
Tunneling though my soul, giving never fading gashes

I tasted reality, like a venomous substance,
Scurrying down my throat, poisoning my patience,
Penetrating deep, tearing into me, producing pain,
Dreaming, lying, I’ve tried everything, all in vain,
Now I’ve made a decision, no more running away,
I’m just going to throw up, every single day

Ohhhh, Anne, very nice poem, but, I would rather not see you like this, whats wrong? I know reality can be a joker sometimes, but 'throw up' is just not going to make it better, be strong! Life will find a way....

If you have something worrying you just tell someone you know you can share it with. don't give up now. maybe you are a little stressed now but do the best to overcome it and when you'll look back you'll say i have overcome the problem. but don't just throw up every single day.

vans corporation. :-)

good decision not to run away.......but if you wanna throw up, that is also kind of distancing yourself from the problem and also ignoring it........I guess sooner or later you will feel a need to solve it once and for good.....I suggest you to do it sooner ;)
good luck, i wish you my best, girl :)

So much pain. Please don't throw up daily. It will strip the enamel from your teeth, cause ulcers, burn your throat, cause health problems etc. Instead if you are having a hard time and you need someone to lean on please confide in someone. If you ever need to talk, feel free to message me. You are a wonderful poet, hang in there.

many of us have gone through very depressing dark times...but if you hang in there the sun shines bright again...check out some of my past poems like face of depression...i was there...purging yourself of negative things is good...but only if you do it through meditation or talking w/ someone..if infact you are speaking physically then that causes more problems...if you need someone to talk to pm me

I read this as a battle with an eating disorder
not sure if throwing up is a metaphor or not
but this is nicely written.
