Unique

Isnt it unusual,
The way you brush your hair,
Or when you stare in the mirror,
As if your not really there,

And the way you have your favourite words,
Just thought up on the tip of your tongue,
Or the way your always smiling,
And your laughing, Having fun.

The way we always sing out loud,
Walking arm in arm,
And all the mini laughing fits,
While people stare in alarm,

They dont understand the little jokes,
The ones that are totally ours,
And no-one would ever say them,
'cause they dont even make sense to us.

Sharing all our music tips,
And swapping our cd's,
You and me,
We best friends,
Our life is so unique.

Nothing is ever normal,
We do all things our way,
Not caring what anyone thinks,
When things dont go our way.

It's great that we can just talk to each other,
We only have to pick up a line,
Just dial in the number,
And talk for hours at a time.

We'll be friends forever,
I know it in my heart,
Living life together,
Even if we're apart.

And even if we drift away,
I could still pick up a phone,
And we would talk all day,
And I would never be alone.

Our friendship is unique,
In every single way,
Never will I have a better friend,
Till the end of days.

It certainly sounds like it is unique.

I don't have a friendship like this, mainly because I'm a bloke - and blokes can't talk for hours on end on a phone, as you surely would know . . ?

Nice poem. Shame this has to be the first comment.

Keep writing, lost.

what i liked about this poem especially is that it kept my attention. many others could write about the same thing and it would only be a boring rambling torture for me. i dont think its what you wrote about that kept my attention, its how you wrote it. that makes all the difference.
